As a consultant clinical psychologist known as Angela Hobday, Annie specialised in paediatrics as well as fostering and adoption. She has been a youth leader, teaches children in Sunday Club and is on her church’s leadership team.
Annie co-wrote four books on working creatively with children and families, plus writing journal articles and lecturing at psychology conferences. Turning to fiction, her first YA novel, Losing Face, preceded three novels for adults, the Dr Mike Lewis stories, about a clinical psychologist and his extraordinary clients. Her more recent works include The Dangerous Dance of Emma JJ and The Precarious Path of Emma JJ, both primarily for young adults.
With an MA in creative writing, Annie enjoys sharing her skills through talks, workshops and speaking at conferences for other writers.
