I had the privilege of being raised in a Christian home by a godly mother and grandparents, and gave my life to the Lord at the tender age of six. By the start of my twenties, I was writing songs and music. Most of the next ten years was spent travelling to different churches on a Sunday evening as a guest singer.
Most of what I wrote was based on personal struggles and I found that through my songs there were those who related to what I had been through. From this I decided to study pastoral counselling and completed several courses through International Correspondence, CARE and Barnabas Training Consortium. As an accredited counsellor, I was able to set up Stepping Stones Counselling Service with the help of my pastor and in connection with our church fellowship. I followed this up by studying for a BSc in Psychology which I received in 2006.
Following the death of my beloved mum, and the restriction of lockdown, I began writing bible-based devotionals to post online. This started with a group on Facebook and developed into a website. I felt that God was leading me to do more with this type of writing, and so at the start of 2023 I began writing my first book!
