A M Raithatha

Anne Maria Raithatha co-wrote BBA and Proud which won an Edinburgh Fringe First in 2000 and then the children’s TV series My Life as a Popat which won a BAFTA in 2005. Today Maria teaches science at both primary and secondary levels.

The idea for Child of Gabriel occurred to the author when she wondered what was going on in the lives of her quietest students. She thought, ‘Wouldn’t it be amazing to make them the heroines and heroes who save the world?’
