Sandra’s life began dramatically when an unexpected bomb was dropped outside the hospital where she was born in Dartford, part of the first bombing wave of the London blitz. Perhaps this unconventional beginning set her up for the life that has followed!

On returning to England, she was involved as a Pastoral Worker in her local church and discovered many of her African experiences proved to be surprisingly good preparation for living back in the UK.
Now officially retired, life seems as busy as ever!
