Chizor Akisanya

Chizor Akisanya was born in Nigeria where she received her early education, before moving to the United Kingdom aged 15 to complete her schooling. She has law degrees from Warwick and Nottingham Universities, England, and is qualified as a Solicitor in England and Wales, and as a Barrister in Nigeria. After several years in legal practice, she left full-time employment to pursue her passion for writing.

Complete in Him: Finding hope in disability and child loss tells her story of growing up with a disability and of living through the experience of a miscarriage and a still-birth.

Chizor is on the pastoral council at Jesus House , a large evangelical church in London, where she also works as the General Manager. She is a conference speaker and facilitator of mentoring programmes for women. As an advocate for people living with disabilities, she is keen to raise awareness of disability issues within the church and wider community.

Her other interests include art, calligraphy and squash. She lives in Hertfordshire, England, with her husband Bajo and daughters, Risachi and Rinnah.
